The Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers are said to be getting closer to making a deal, according to those close to the situation.  Cleveland would send J.J Hickson along with Zydrunas Ilgauskas for Amare Stoudemire, a top big man in this league who has been fielding the most interest this season. According to the News-Herald, a source said the Suns want to trade away Jason Richardson to the team that will also be taking Amare Stoudemire.  Whether that will happen is yet to be seen.

The Boston Celtics are said to be inquiring about the availability of Philadeplphia swingman Andre Iguodala, Golden State guard Monta Ellis and Sacramento guard Kevin Martin. Yahoo! Sports

The Celtics are thought to be looking to deal Ray Allen as his contract will become useful for a team looking to get under the cap.

The Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards have shaken things up before the deadline with a seven-player deal.  Dallas sent Josh Howard, Drew Gooden, Quinton Ross and James Singleton to Washington in exchange for Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood, and DeShawn Stevenson.  Realgm

The Miami Herald says that the Heat have had trade discussions with Phoenix, Memphis, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, Charlotte and Boston.  The Heat have expiring contracts worth up to 40 million and that alone could interest a few teams.

The deal is thought to involve center Jermaine Oneal($23 million), forward Udonis Haslem($7million), or swingman Quentin Richardson($8.7 million).

CBS Sports believes New York to be highly interested in shipping forward Tyrus Thomas in a deal involving Al Hirrington and his $10 million contract.  There is hope in New York that Tracy McGrady trade talk may be going on but several other teams -San Antonio, Denver, Portland – have more to offer Houston.

The Washington Post reported on Friday that after the Wizards closed the deal that sent Butler, Stevenson and Haywood to the the Dallas Mavericks, they are even more interested in moving forward Antawn Jamison.If a trade was to be made, Washington could possibly drop $28 million in cap. According to a source, despite comments to the contrary, Jamison has asked to be traded behind the scenes.

Lebron James has voiced his opinion to Cleveland GM Danny Ferry and if it keeps Lebron in Cleveland expect this deal to happen before the Feb. 18 deadline. Cleveland Plain Dealer
